The Horue floats, we tested it. |
So do the infinity wings. Well the front one anyway didn't test the back. The aircraft aluminum does not lol.
Would the "aircraft aluminum" on SS be lighter or more rigid compaired to naish foils aluminum. Or is it pritty standard with all brands making aluminum foils. |

"Aircraft aluminum" is 100% pure marketing crap.
Both are some Chinese variety of 60 series aluminum just like everything else. I guarantee the Slingshot fuselage costs less than half of the Naish to produce. |

I’ve foiled both.
My feeling is the Slingshot is faster. Unfortunately I never compared them with my speed app turned on.
The Slingshot mast is thicker walled, so stiffer. The Slingshot fuselage is longer. All the aluminum on the Slingshot is much heavier and stiffer. I don’t feel the weight once riding it, just dragging it to the water.
Both foils were silent.
They both ride very nice.
I think the Slingshot goes upwind at a higher angle. I don’t know why. Maybe the longer fuselage helps.
I think anyone would be happy with either one. |

I'm dead stock and dead slow. Spend too much energy going up and down, and correcting for it. |

Too funny
When I had both in my hands last fall I felt the 2019 was significantly lighter than the 2018. So much for hand weight guesstimates, LOL
Even so I ended up with the 2018 due to cost savings and being new to foiling and not knowing what I really want yet
Maybe I’ll be able to A/B test the slingshot to my Naish thrust at abk, but not til sept |
