Haha, that is awesome! Since it is an "experiment", I guess you didn't want to cut out a panel from the red sail and use it to replace the one on the yellow sail. What sizes are the sails?
Let it us know how the sail feels in the different wind conditions.

both sails had tears that went across from luff to clew.
normally, tough to repair those kind of tears.
yellow was a 4.7, red was a 4.5, the frankensail is a 4.6
looped the sail and crashed. tape held up.
it feels more like a race sail than a wave sail.
harder to depower on the wave, but could be that i was
just op'd. i later rigged down to my 4.2
after my session, the tape near the luff sleeve holding
the top/bottom halves together separated (while the rig
was on the beach). would have held up better if there
was a stronger reinforcement near the luff area.
