Heat wave: SoCal and Bay UP AND DOWN winds & eddy

Hi gang,

The San Francisco Bay Area and Southern California forecast keep repeating the mantra of an upper high-pressure zone creating a heatwave and up and down winds. And the Bay Area just keeps on seeing eddies.

This graphic gives part of the explanation of this pattern and why we will see a sudden shift in the heat, marine layer and eddy around Monday.

Here is what "Crushing the Marine Layer" meant in Santa Cruz today. This is a pic of Steamers Lane at Lighthouse Point. Cannot even see the surfers who were getting overhead sets.

Crushed my hopes of getting in a windsurfing session today.....sigh.....
