I have the same foil and have it rigged the mast even closer to the tail than you show. I rode it Saturday in 10-15 mph with gusts to 18. I was on a starboard go 155 with an Ezzy cheetah 6.5 and was foiling up easily and I am 250#

[quote="nodak"]Went out today with larger front wing Infinity 84 with hopes to foil but shloogged instead in gusty 10-15mph, SB 147, Hotsails Speedrfreak 8.5, me @ 200 lbs. I should be fouling.
I have the same foil with back wing of 48 cm. I am 220 lbs and able to foil when the mast in C position at 10-15 mph. This made a significant difference for me. I am using Flyer 7.0 Sailworks sail.

As others have mentioned
I use B and 84/42 when around 15mph
I use C and 84/48 when 8-15mph (the 48 rear wing is bolted tips down, this is very important otherwise it won’t work).
If you buy a fuselage separate it may not be marked A,B or C and that may also lead to incorrect positioning.
In the pic:
top foil is 84/42 in B
Bottom foil is 84/48 in C
Notice how the wing is projected forward from mast.

I wonder what would happen if you flipped the 42 wing upside down?

Tips up, quicker rise.
Tips down, slower rise, and more stable once up,

Older Slingshot fuselage did not have the letters on the shaft. I did not realize the positions for the Slingshot and made an error with the switch fuselage C position but corrected now. I guess in the wrong C position (picture without the back wing), one may get even more lift due to its extreme front position.

I wrote up a few observations about front wing placement with non-Slingshot boards on my blog. One thing that got me a bit when I replaced a powerbox with a foilbox is that straps on most windsurf boards are more forward than on the Slingshot foil boards like the Wizard. For a wing like the Infinity 84 that's usually used in the "C" position with the Wizard, this means that you cannot move it forward enough for a balanced position unless you drill extra holes in the fuselage, use a Powerplate, or similar. This would likely be even more of an issue when trying to use the new Infinity 99 wing with a board other than the Levitator.
The writeup (with pictures!) is a boardsurfr.blogspot.com/2019/09/foil-setup-front-wing-placement.html.
