I am heading to the Jupiter area for Winter Break and wonder about going windsurfing nearby. I am an intermediate sailor but will have none of my gear there, travelling with wife and 2 small kids. Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you. |

Believe you are going to have problems renting gear there. It is too bad, because I really think that there would be a market for it there.
I know because I was there working for a week and could not find anything. Next time if I have to go to West Palm I will bring my gear.

The closest rentals that I am aware of are Adventure Sports in Miami, Calema in Merritt Island or Progressive Sports in Daytona. None of them would be considered "close". |

If you find gear you can sail the ocean at Jupiter inlet, which is a more advanced location, or sail the Intracoastal at the A1A bridge in Stuart which is more intermediate. Just watch the current and boat traffic. |
