I have been to a few shows this summer. The worst show was my favorite band, the WHO. I had crap seats at Fenway and the sound was horrendous, first time at a stadium show and hopefully my last. Give me small venues ,5000 to 100 any day. Best show Frampton, I never knew he was so good. I saw two national cover bands and they both were fantastic, Australian Pink Floyd, and Almost Queen. Also saw Elvis Costello, okay show not a big fan. Jayhawks Saturday night will be good and Steele Dan late October will be great...

One of the greatest American artists, who I have seen perform for almost 50 years. Fluent in everything from fiddle tunes to nearly every style of popular music. His penultimate song in the concert, and he said that he sings the song--written in the 1970's--with purpose. What has become of our country? What has become of the separation of powers and controls on Presidential abuses written into the Constitution? Fascism.

In bluefish's Rolling Stone link, a little further down in the text was another video, 'Stand By Me'. It too was a great tune and a worthy watch. I like the collaborative theme stitching such great talent together.

Typical, take a great song then degrade it down so that it falsely represents only one side of a ideology, it could just as easily represent the liberal mainstream media, but I wouldn't pidgin-hole it there either.
