Hi Gang,

As you have probably noticed the North Pacific High's surface NW winds have been unusually active much of this winter. This is because the NPH has often been in a spring and summer location west of California rather than in its historical average location to our SW.

In recognition of a likely early start of the season, we are moving up the forecast to Feb. 28 on a once per day basis with 3 times per day forecasts starting March 13. These are the earliest start dates in the long history of weatherflow/iwindsurf/ikitesurf.com

We will have a new format for the Southern California forecasts with San Diego more prominently displayed.

Let's hope we get a great season with better wind for the coast and Peninsula than last season.

Mike Godsey

thanks, that's great news.

with the addition of foiling, the wind minimums have really dropped for me. honestly, my life was a lot simpler before foiling... now anytime I see an upward trending line hit 8mph, I start panicking.

Still gotta wait for gusts of 15 at Berk Reef and TI to gust to 17 before a 6.6 can foil at Berkeley.
