Sail needs to touch inside boom are when filled with wind.
You 185.
Me 160.
Roger 135. Twisted his knee badly yesterday.
9 out of 10 days, or 35+ days this season, I use SMALLER sail and smaller board than Roger.
25 lbs. difference!
And I ride narrower old boards mostly.
I DO use bigger sails than Sofien when it's under 22 in the gusts, but he's lighter by 10 lbs. He floats his 85 liter board dry behind front straps. Takes a 100 liter board to do that.

Very sorry to hear about Roger!

There are clearly skill differences at work given the gear and outcomes you cite.

I've been a "work in progress" for way too many years now, as you know. Smile

Cheers, David

Hi Gang,

Thanks for all your support during this long ordeal with our having no access to the sensor location.

A new sensor is likely to read a bit different than an old sensor, especially after so much time passing. Even stainless propeller shafts slowly experience an increase in friction due to dust, corrosion, fishing line. salt, nearby trees growing etc.

So please send me any correction factors you observe compared to the wind on the water nearby. mike@iwindsurf.com

Thanks,

Mike Godsey
