Looks like it's over. All those guys furiously paddling their surf foils trying to catch a swell are gone. Paddled their asses off and still got left behind. Replaced by The Wing. Watch them go, WOW! Seeing massive air now, tacks and really impressive advancements in skill on those things. Did see one guy yesterday still paddling. Trying to get his moneys worth out of that paddle?

Thank god! The paddlers were really getting in my way! At least the winger's are going in approximately the same direction as windsurfers. The good winger's are killing it. Looks fun.

At least the wings are much easier to see. The sit skis are sometimes hard to see in afternoon sun light and swell. LOL

Are this board foilers, with no sail, kite or paddle, easily going upwind too?

The wing foilers? Yep, they scoot upwind just fine. Better than a windsurfer.

You guys are haters. Just let people have fun. Everyone rolls a different way. I regularly sail with a few wingers who are always extremely friendly, courteous, in control, and understand the rules on the water.
High-use areas like the Hatchery have WAY less people on the water than a decade ago. There is plenty of room out there for everyone. Peace.

Nobody hating here loser, except you with your hater talk. The wingers are awesome and the stand up foiler peeps are working hard for their rewards. But, the average stand up foiler looks to be working really hard for little reward. At least that's what my stand up foiler friend tells me. I don't hate him, I pity him when I see the wingers rockin' it. Keep calm and carry on - and lose the negative attitude. Rolling Eyes

The haters invented the wing. They hated paddling their asses off and watching the swell pass them by. Rolling Eyes

So you folks are talking about folks using boards, foils and hand held wings. In my earlier post, I didn't recognize that. I thought, without some form of power to drive you, it's impossible to move upwind. I missed the idea of hand held wings. They must be getting quite popular.

Regarding any negativity, it wasn't on my mind.
