|
|
If trump riles his haters to not accept the election results it is time to impeach him a second time. To be the most disgraced president ever.
claiming without facts that there is massive election fraud to cause violence and stop democracy...
And impeach him for his other offenses that were not politically acceptable and demand his taxes, his connections to Russians, and so on. Do it the day after he rejects the election. Thus hearing in the house will commence and force him to disclose the election fraud data that proves there was fraud for him to have allege it. And since he will have no facts it allows the congress to impeach him and then the new senate can vote in February.
Tis is an absolute winner with the ability to get us all the facts.
And if the supreme court interferes again impeach the justices that also interfere in the election like bush v gore. Time for supreme court justices to recuse when they are appointed by the person for conflict of interest. _________________ when good people stay silent the right wing are the only ones heard. |

Rudy Giuliani says pro-Trump rioters attacking US Capitol building are ‘on the right side of history’
Quote: | Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani, who led President Donald Trump’s legal efforts to overturn his defeat in the 2020 elections, said the president’s supporters violently rioting at the U.S. Capitol building were “on the right side of the law and history” in a tweet as the Senate chambers were evacuated on Wednesday.
The former mayor wrote on Twitter: “To all those patriots challenging the fraudulent election , POTUS wants you to EXPRESS YOUR OPINION PEACEFULLY.”
“We are the law and order party,” he added. “You are on the right side of the law and history. Act with respect for all.”
Mr Giuliani’s comments came as the president and others released similar statements calling for calm after the violent rioters had already breached security barricades and clashed with law enforcement before entering the Capitol building. |

Senator Chuck Schumer, the Democratic leader, joined growing calls to remove President Trump via the 25th Amendment after a mob stormed the Capitol.

“What happened at the U.S. Capitol yesterday was an insurrection against the United States, incited by the president,” Mr. Schumer said. “This president should not hold office one day longer.”
He called on Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment, which allows him and the Cabinet to wrest the power of the presidency from Mr. Trump. If Mr. Pence would not, Mr. Schumer added, Congress should reassemble to impeach Mr. Trump a second time, even with just days left in his term.

A growing corps of House Democrats, furious over the invasion of the Capitol on Wednesday by a mob inspired and encouraged by President Trump, is pushing to rapidly impeach the president a second time — hoping to force Trump from office even a few days early rather than allow him to leave on his own terms. |

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) tore into Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) on Twitter on Friday after he tweeted his disapproval of any motion to impeach President Trump following the rioting at the Capitol this week.

"As President @realDonaldTrump stated last night, it is time to heal and move on," Graham tweeted Friday, referring to the president's video remarks condemning violence from his supporters at the Capitol Wednesday.
"If Speaker Pelosi pushes [impeachment] in the last days of the Trump presidency it will do more harm than good. I'm hopeful President-elect Biden sees the damage that would be done from such action."
Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) recently suggested House lawmakers would move to impeach the president if Vice President Pence and other Cabinet officials declined to invoke 25th Amendment to remove Trump from office.
Ocasio-Cortez responded to Graham's tweets by calling him out for defending the president, whom many Democrats and some Republicans have condemned as responsible for inciting Wednesday's riots.
"'Move on?' 'Moving on' does not mean 'forget about it,' @LindseyGrahamSC," she wrote. "'Moving on' requires accountability. Attacking our nation without recourse or responsibility isn't 'moving on.' A Capitol Police officer just died. Why are you defending this?"
Graham did not immediately respond to Ocasio-Cortez's tweet, but he continued on in a thread on Twitter stating that impeachment would be unsuccessful in the Senate. |

UPDATE 1-U.S. House Democrats to introduce impeachment charges against Trump on Monday -sources
Quote: | WASHINGTON, Jan 8 (Reuters) - Democrats in the U.S. House of Representatives plan to introduce new articles of impeachment against Republican President Donald Trump on Monday, calling for his removal from office, two people familiar with the matter said on Friday.
The sources said the articles, which are formal charges of misconduct, were crafted by Democratic Representatives David Cicilline, Ted Lieu and Jamie Raskin following this week's assault on the U.S. Capitol by Trump supporters.
A copy of the measure circulating among members of Congress charges Trump with "inciting violence against the government of the United States" in a bid to overturn his loss to President-elect Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential election.
The articles also cite Trump's hour-long phone call with Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, in which he asked the state election official to "find" enough votes to overturn that state's election, which Biden won.
"President Trump gravely endangered the security of the United States and its institutions of government. He threatened the integrity of the democratic system, interfered with the peaceful transition of power and imperiled a coordinate branch of government," the legislation states.
Trump's supporters, inflamed by his false claims of election fraud, stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday, smashing windows, sending lawmakers into hiding and leaving five dead. (Reporting by David Morgan Editing by Chizu Nomiyama and Howard Goller) |

The damn guy will be out of our hair in just 12 days. An impeachment take months to years. Obviously this new call for impeachment, just like the last one, is nothing more than pure childish vindictiveness, and will once again completely sidetrack the Congress from doing their real jobs. It makes as much sense as impeaching [Google the 10 worst past presidents]. |

Sigh…..
I have to agree with Iso’s here; just petty nonsense. Trump’s been neutered already. He lost all his social media accounts and after last Tuesday’s stunt he has pretty much ended his political career; can’t come back from sedition & an attempted coup. The guy has personally led the Republican Party into one of the most epic train wrecks in the history of the U.S. and virtually handed the Democrats Georgia. He gave them Georgia of all places!
A much better use of their time would be to get to work on COVID; the current administration has put us wayyyyyy behind on administering the vaccine. With Trump gone I think there are enough Republican's willing to reach across the aisle to fix things. Tuesday should be an event to unify, not kick them when they are down & further divide.

I agree that Trump cannot be instantly impeached and thrown out of office. Even a criminal like Fat Donny deserves due process. Respecting his right to due process, even though he does not deserve it, is what makes a nation of laws, not a dictatorship.
But there is more to the reaction. Those Democrats who could have been killed by Trump’s mob are afraid that he is so unhinged that he will do more deranged things. After all, his refusal to cooperate in the transition or pay any attention to the raging pandemic is responsible for even more unnecessary COVID deaths. He needs to be neutralized in some ways, and I think that is what is appropriate. |
