| None of that obfuscation explains why American citizens and their babies can't find formula on the shelves while their government is giving it to illegal aliens by the pallet-full. Shouldn't the families whose taxes pay for it, who have broken no laws, and/or citizens getting it por nada under the WIC program get first dibs? Isn't any government's first responsibility to its law-abiding citizens? |

So true.
And he is also heartless. As I pointed out, the food going to migrant infants is a minor amount in the big picture. These migrants have no other source of food than what is given to them. The adults cannot go to a store to buy food for themselves or their infants. So, if the government does not send them a relatively small amount of infant formula, the infants will starve. That may be acceptable in the MAGA world, where illegal immigrants are vilified as the cause of problems beyond what the facts support and are not treated as human beings. I fully understand that they are not here legally, but I also understand that they are here because they want to survive and want their families to thrive. My ancestors migrated to the USA in the 1800s for the same reasons.
Starving infants because they are not here legally does not represent the values of compassionate people nor does it represent the values that made the USA great. |

After Trump got Covid "vaccinations" on the market in one tenth the time it normally takes, made us energy independent, and gotten dedicated Covid treatment hospitals up and running in a day rather than years, does even the farthest left freakazoid here believe he wouldn't have packed the shelves with baby formula within days?
But, NOOOOooo ... it's all about old white men, orange hair, brass balls, and ideology -- not sheer ability -- to you clowns, isn't it? |

Why is there a baby formula shortage?

Robert Califf, 71, was appointed by Joe Biden to head the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and sworn in two months ago and is now facing questions about his organization's role in the baby formula crisis.
The FDA earlier this year inspected a manufacturer in Sturgis, Michigan, after reports that the baby formula produced there could be contaminated.
Consumers reported four infants who were sick, including three with cronobacter sakazakii infections and one with salmonella newport, and had been fed formula products made at the Sturgis plant.
A fourth infant with cronobacter sakazakii was later added to the investigation by the U.S. Centers for Disease and Control Prevention.
Cronobacter sakazakii can cause life threatening sepsis infections or meningitis and may have contributed to the death of two of the infants, the FDA has said.
The plant's owners, Abbott Laboratories, recalled their products, and in February took the decision to shut the plant down, pending further inspections.
They have since stressed that no link was found between the two deaths and their plant.
But the company needed FDA approval to restart production.
The Abbott Laboratories factory has reached a deal with the FDA that could see it reopen in as few as two weeks. The plant closed down in February after the FDA found multiple violations at the facility.
The formula shortage is the result of supply chain disruptions and workforce issues, but it was amplified by a safety recall of formulas by the factory.
As the shortage of baby formula escalated nationwide - in August it passed 10 percent, and it is now at 43 percent, exacerbated by the Sturgis shutdown - calls mounted for the shuttered Sturgis plant to resume operations.
The company said they were ready but awaiting FDA approval.
Approval was not granted until Monday and must now be authorized by the courts.
When the green light is given, it will be at least ten weeks until the products are back on the shelves.
And Califf's organization is now in the spotlight for the delay, with many asking whether it was entirely necessary for so long. |

We've seen and read all that on the news, yet we've also seen the huge stockpiles of formula on the border, being handed out to people invading our nation illegally from a hundred nations.
The problem is not the people; who WOULDN'T invade a nation promising them more free stuff than our own citizens can get? Any effective, honest, rational POTUS or VPOTUS would have solved both those problems very quickly by turning off the magnet, building the wall, and enforcing our laws. Yet these useless bull tits are doing just the opposite and lying to us about it. |
