Can anyone tell me how often Whites Beach cranks. Ive noticed the last couple of days that it is far windier than anywhere else(today S @ 30-35!) Are these winds thermally induced or what? How are the swells? Thanks!

Without keeping stats on the # of cranking days per year (iwinsurf staff could provide that), this place cranks quite a bit and receives the maximum fetch for southerly winds from LoPres fronts that track W to E over lake Champlain.
The swells are generally around 2-3 ft when it cranks. Check out: http://www.nws.noaa.gov/er/box/fcsts/ALBRECBTV.html

Whites beach is particularly reliable in the fall. Lots of 3.5-4.0 weather. Usually, get some 3.0 days also. In the summer there is often an early morning and evening 6.5 session. Also frontal days, like yesterday evening (3.5). A number of windsurfers have moved to Whites because of the excellent conditions. However, dont road trip unless you see a low coming in from the west, that will pass to the north.
