I clean mine every time I sail ... WHILE I sail. When Im through sailing, I shove em in their bags and never touch em again until I sail em again. Then when its time to sell em, I wipe them down with anything .. 409 is handy ... and wax/shine em with whatever plastic polish I can find, and sell em. Theyre just plastic ... heck, sailmakers use acetone to clean crud off of them.

Clean a sail? Nahh, leave em wet and roll em up. Sand and salt are good for sails!
SUNLIGHT however, is mucho bad. If you want your sails to last, keep them out of the sun, but dont waste time cleaning them. |
