What are the advantages of wearing a wieght jacket for windsurfing? I assume you increase your board speed and delay decreasing sail size in overpowering situations by adding weight. Anyone having weight jacket experience please advise.

Weight jackets are for big-bucks racing (if then) or serious assaults on the world speed records.
