My Friend And I are planing to go to The Caribean at the end of Feb. He Suggested Aruba, But Judging from Other Measages on this board it doesnt sound like the place for us.

We each have non-windsurfing Wives and infant Daughters. The little Reasearch That I have done suggests that the south end on Barbados would be good. anybody have any suggestions.

My good friend goes to Tobago every year with his wife and kids. His wife and younger kids can play on the beach w/o being accosted by rasta-farians and he can sail and teach his older kids to sail in good wind. This guy has been everywhere, and now he only goes to Tobago.

hi - I dont know about Barbados. But Aruba is ok if you like hi wind slalom windsurfing, and gambling. They do have some good restaurants, and sites on the island.
Wind is off shore, and usually strong and gusty. Lots of wind shadows too.

However, my personal favorite is Bonaire. I went there 4 times to windsurf and dive. It is a more laid back and slower island than Aruba. Wild goats, and donkeys parade out in the road...iguanas all over. Flamingos nesting in the swamps. Quite scenic and fun to explore. Good restaurants as well.
Windsurfing is in Lac Bay, its protected and the on-shore winds are steady and unobstructed.
