Im looking at the Naish Matrix 7.5 it requires a 490 mast. Q: can I put a 460 mast on it? Will the sail work for me?----weight-145--hight 5-10

I recommend buying another mast top, like a 250. Then you will have a 480. The rest use an extension. But you can get a giant extension to use on the 7.5, but it is not the best solution.

The sail is designed to work with a 490 with a certain IMCS. When you put on a 460 with a giant extension, it is the correct lenght, but the mast will not be what the manufacturer intended. Therefore the sail may not perform well.
