| Hello, my name is Vince. I was wondering if anyone had any idea what the wind was like at San Carlos during the month of September? I was going to plan a trip down there; but from all accounts I have heard, there is no wind during the month of September. Is this true? |

September is typically hurricane month and if a hurricane is active and is close, it kills the wind. If the weather stays typical summer-like,with no hurricanes in the area, the wind is O.K. The flip side to having an active hurricane is that the waves will be good. I typically go in Sept. because of that reason. You either get wind and some waves or no wind but good waves for surfing. Oct. is more consistent for wind if you only sail.
