Thanks for all the posts on the subjects. Any tips on how to keep the board from rounding up when trying to waterstart with one/both feet in the strap(s)? |

I know you had a bunch of replies on this topic awhile ago. Mike \m/ had detailed this pretty good.
probably what is happening, is the rig is leaned back too much. The pressure from your feet in the straps is pushing the board in an upwind position.
To correct, while you are in the water, put more pressure on the front hand on the boom to force the nose slightly downwind. keep the rig neutral, or slightly forward. this will keep the board in the proper position.
bring the board under your butt as you rise out of the water, as you gain speed to a plane, you can rake the rig back to turn onto a normal reach or head upwind.
hope this helps |

What Spyder said ... plus sheet in and swing the mast forward. Those work in the water just like they work on a plane to steer off the wind. And unless youre on your 6.0 and wishing it was your 3.0, put the front foot in front of its strap so you can use it to push the nose off the wind.
