Im looking into this sport and would like to get a starter rig for So. Bay 3 rd ave Coyote point etc etc...any ideas/connections??? I weigh 220 lbs

you may want to look into a hight volume board, START board is a solid board also STAR boards make some great boards, or AHD, all boards are great learning boards because they are stable, wide and short. as far as jumping it may not be recomened for theses boards, so depending on what sailers do in the spots you plan to sail may lead you in a certain direction. for your rig, do not skimp on a sloid rig setup, mast, boom, and wetsuit, given your weight your boom may have to be a larger sized diameter,
talk to your local shop and also pic up the latest mag, two different mags will have two different opinions so do some research, it will be fun. thats all i could think of, enjoy and good luck |
