I am looking for a recommondation on goggles or sunglasses that really work for windsurfing. Any ideas - prior problems have been fogging and water spots. I do Not need them to fit over glasses.

Thanks for you help,
Bruce

Ive never found any to be satisfactory. I used to use SPEX, they were the best in my opinion, but they still got cloudy and spotted.

1st - search the archives....this has been discussed.

2nd - I have Spex and agree with Spyder.

3rd - I wear contacts, and recently got some Hobie polarized sunglasses, which I like a lot, but havent used them in conditions where fogging might occur. I got mine at Sierra Trading Post (www.sierratradingpost.com).

4th - I met a guy who is a wholesaler for Oakley, and he said they have polarized glasses but Ive never seen them.

I didnt have very good luck with Spex. Distorted vision. But it may depend on your correction. Im just mildly near-sighted. I use polarized prescription sunglasses w/floating croakies. If you do a lot of jumping/freestyle stuff, youre eventually going to lose goggles or glasses. Cost of doing business. Been through SEVERAL pairs.

I buy cheap polarized sunglasses at the hardware store, and hook them to my head with Croakies.

Thanks for the help.
I have tried the spex in the past, and also had some spotting problems.
I looked in the archives, and someone mentioned using rain-x to spray on the glasses to help dissipate the water spots. It sounds like this may be my best option for a little eye protection from the sun.

Well see, hopefully:
rain-x + spex = protected eyes + vision?
Thanks again,
Bruce

I have a pair of Barz goggles. They are made for surfing and snowboarding and seem to work well for windsurfing - you forget that you are wearing them. I think BARZ is an Australian company.
