...smoke will continue to impact region through the morning...
smoke originating from forest fires in northern saskatchewan and
northern alberta will continue to impact the region as high
pressure brings light to calm winds. visibilities will be two to
four miles across most of the region. increasing southerly winds
will help to dissipate the smoke by the afternoon hours.
everyone may begin to experience health effects...members of
sensitive groups may experience more serious health effects.

...areas of fog expected early this morning...
areas of fog are expected across north-central wisconsin early
this morning. the fog will reduce the visibility to less than 1/4
mile in places. motorists traveling across north-central
wisconsin should be alert for the possibility of encountering
patches of dense fog with very limited visibilities. if you
encounter a fog bank while driving...slow your vehicle to the
point where you will be able to safely stop if you encounter an
object or animal on the roadway. always use low- beam headlights
in foggy conditions.
the fog was forming due to light winds in the wake of a cool
front that sagged south across northern wisconsin friday evening.
the visibility should improve between 800 am and 900 am.
