areas of fog have developed over portions of northeast new 
jersey, the lower hudson valley, and inland southwest connecticut.
visibility will be reduced to 1 to 2 miles in many places.

locally dense fog of 1/4 mile or less is possible through 11 pm. 
motorists should be on the look out for rapidly changing 
visibilities. reduce speed and use low beam headlights when
encountering any dense fog.

...patchy dense fog possible this evening and overnight...

patchy dense fog is expected to develop north and west of the 
interstate 95 corridor this evening. visibility below one half 
mile will be possible at times. the fog may become more widespread
through the overnight hours.

drivers are urged to exercise caution for rapidly changing
visibility. allow extra time to reach your destination, and if you
encounter fog, reduce speed and increase following distance with
the vehicle in front of you.
