...the flood warning remains in effect until 130 am est for northern
brevard...southeastern orange and northeastern osceola counties...
at 1040 pm est...doppler radar showed another band of heavy rainfall
which has produced additional amounts of 1 to 2 inches in a 60 to 90
minute period centered from kissimmee to orlando to new smyrna
beach. this band will push eastward into the warning area...with
aggravation of any standing water conditions very likely...and some
additional flooding of roads and low lying areas possible.
a flood warning means that flooding is imminent or has been reported.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
flooding of roads...streets and intersections are likely to continue
in some locations. some homes and businesses may be subject to low
lying and poor drainage flooding.
be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding. do not drive your vehicle into areas where the
water covers the roadway. the water depth may be too great to allow
your car to cross safely. move to higher ground.
to report flooding...have the nearest law enforcement agency relay
your report to the national weather service forecast office.

volusia...lake...western orange...seminole and northwestern osceola
counties...
at 1035 pm est...doppler radar showed another band of heavy rainfall
which has produced additional amounts of 1 to 2 inches in a 60 to 90
minute period centered from kissimmee to orlando to new smyrna
beach. to the north and west of this band....light to moderate rain
was falling...with additional rainfall amounts of one quarter of an
inch to one inch falling in the warning area.

the national weather service in ruskin has issued an
* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
central charlotte county in florida.
western lee county in florida.
this includes the cities of...fort myers...cape coral...fort myers
beach...sanibel
* until 145 am est
* at 1218 am est...national weather service doppler radar indicated
rainfall rates of two inches per hour associated with thunderstorms
over the advised area...localized flooding is imminent or occurring.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
keep children from being swept away in flooded ditches and drains.
flood waters are usually deeper than they appear and may stall your
vehicle. just one foot of flowing water is powerful enough to sweep
vehicles off the road. turn around...dont drown.

the little manatee river at wimuama...and the anclote river at elfers...
.widespread heavy rain of 2 to 5 inches with locally higher amounts will
cause the manatee river...little manatee river...and anclote river to rise
above flood stage during the next couple of days.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
do not drive cars through flooded areas...

fall below flood stage by saturday early afternoon.
* impact...at 14.5 feet...flooding of several houses begins near 32nd and 33rd
streets in ruskin.
