* winds...south 30 to 40 kt with gusts to 50 kt decreasing 
  quickly late this morning and midday with maximum gusts of 25 
  kt expected this afternoon. a coastal jet will produce locally 
  stronger winds within 20 nm of the coast this morning. 

* seas...22 to 27 ft early this morning subsiding below 20 ft 
  this morning...and falling into the 13 to 15 ft range 
  wednesday night. 





precautionary/preparedness actions...

a storm warning means winds of 48 to 63 knots are imminent or
occurring. recreational boaters should remain in port...or take
shelter until winds and waves subside. commercial vessels should
prepare for very strong winds and dangerous sea conditions...and
consider remaining in port or taking shelter in port until winds
and waves subside.
