...red flag warning for the north bay mountains and east bay
hills through thursday morning...

.offshore winds will continue over the higher elevations of the
north bay and east bay early this morning through wednesday
night. these offshore winds in combination with low relative
humidity values will lead to critical fire weather conditions.
additionally, poor overnight relative humidity recoveries are
expected wednesday night and into thursday morning as a result of
the continued offshore winds.

* affected area...north bay mountains above 1000 feet, east bay
hills above 1000 ft, and the diablo range. fire weather zones
  507 and 511.

45 mph. local gusts at isolated peaks and ridgetops may
approach and possibly exceed 60 mph.

dropping to 15 to 30 percent. poor recoveries are forecast on

  outdoor burning is not recommended.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now...or will shortly. a combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...dry fuels...and warm
temperatures can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
