...moderately strong west to northwest winds saturday morning
through late saturday night...
.a deepening trough of low pressure along the west coast will
create moderately strong and gusty west to northwest winds over
the san diego county coastal waters beginning early saturday
morning and continuing through late saturday night. the strongest
winds and steepest seas will be in the outer coastal waters near
san clemente island. winds and seas will diminish during the day
sunday.

waters from san mateo point to the mexican border extending 30 to
60 nm out including san clemente island-

...small craft advisory for winds remains in effect from 5 am pdt
saturday to 4 am pst sunday...
* winds...west to northwest 15 to 20 knots with gusts 25 to 30
knots.
* seas...rising to 6 to 9 feet in the outer waters...and 4 to 7
feet over the inner waters...with a period of 12 to 14 seconds.
* timing...early saturday morning through late saturday
night...with a possible brief lowering of wind speeds saturday
afternoon and early evening.
* impacts...the gusty winds and elevated seas will create
conditions hazardous for small craft.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a small craft advisory for wind means that wind speeds of 21 to
33 knots are expected. inexperienced mariners...especially those
operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these
conditions.
