...hard freeze warning remains in effect until 9 am mdt

* affected area...the sanpete and sevier valleys, west central 
  utah, and southwestern utah.

* temperatures...dipping to near 28 degrees.

* timing...the coldest temperatures are expected around sunrise
  saturday. temperatures will warm back up by mid morning.

* impacts...the main impacts will be to any frost or freeze 
  sensitive vegetation. take steps to protect sensitive plants 
  this evening.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a hard freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are
imminent or highly likely. these conditions will kill crops and
other sensitive vegetation.

northern wasatch front-

...wind advisory remains in effect until 10 am mdt saturday...

* affected area...the eastern bench areas of the northern 
  wasatch front.

* winds...east winds of 25 to 35 mph, with gusts as high as 55 
  mph. the strongest winds are expected on the layton bench, in 
  farmington, and in centerville.

* timing...easterly winds will develop late this evening and 
  intensify after midnight. the strongest winds are expected 
  early saturday morning. winds are expected to diminish by mid 
  morning saturday.

* impacts...strong crosswinds on i-15 in the centerville and 
  farmington areas, and on us 89 on the layton bench.

precautionary/preparedness actions...

a wind advisory means that sustained wind speeds of at least
31 mph or gusts of 45 mph are expected. motorists in the advisory
area should be prepared for sudden gusty cross winds which can
make driving difficult.
