...another sharp change toward colder weather expected for the
cascades monday night through wednesday...
the spring temperature roller coaster continues across the
cascades of southwest washington and northwest oregon...and this
upcoming week will be no exception.
even the higher elevations of the cascades enjoyed mild
temperatures in the 60s today. however...a sharp cold front is
expected to move through the pacific northwest late monday and
monday night. the same locations which were in the 60s today may
see snow showers and temperatures in the 30s by tuesday.
those participating in outdoor activities in the cascades should
be prepared for a sharp drop in temperature later monday and
monday night...with chilly weather continuing through midweek.
snow levels will lower to elevations near or slightly below the
cascade passes and brief snow accumulations will be possible on
the roadways monday night through wednesday...mainly during the
night and morning hours. while snow accumulations are not expected
to be heavy...travelers planning a trip across the cascades monday
night through wednesday should still be prepared for wintry
driving conditions.
