...dense fog this morning over portions of the lower columbia
basin and the yakima valley...
.fog has developed early this morning under a low level inversion
covering portions of the interior northwest. some of this fog has
caused visibilities to be significantly reduced.

the national weather service in pendleton has issued a dense fog
advisory...which is in effect until 11 am pst this morning.
* visibility: areas of visibilities less than one quarter of a
* timing: lowest visibilities to persist into late morning before
improving towards noon.
* impacts: low visibilities will make travel difficult. motorists
should slow down and leave extra stopping distance. roads may
become locally slick where morning low temperatures are around
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. if driving...slow down...
use your headlights...and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
