fog advisory...which is in effect until 6 am cst early this
morning. a small craft advisory will be in effect until 6 am cst
friday morning.
* visibility...visibilities are below one mile across portions of
the tidal lakes and mississippi sound early this morning.
visibilities will improve with the passage of a cold front
around sunrise.
* winds...southwest winds will shift to the north and increase to
20 to 30 knots with frequent higher gusts after the passage of
the cold front this morning.
* seas/waves...waves increasing to 3 to 5 feet with occasional
seas to 6 feet in tidal lakes and sounds.
precautionary/preparedness actions...
a small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots
are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft.
inexperienced mariners...especially those operating smaller
vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions.
