It is interesting that many arguments (the quouted author included) suggest that increasing the marginal tax rate will limit incentives of our most productive taxpayers.
However, if my marginal tax rate reduces my incentive to make extra cash, maybe I'll spread out the work. Lots of people could use the money! I could use the sailing! |

I operate my biz for a net profit. If my tax rate goes up 3% I still go ahead and make the money. So does everyone else, as the history of our economy amply illustrates.
My old accountant during the first Bush said that every one of his 6 figure clients would just go out of business if taxes were raised, which they were.
I asked" Every one?"
He answered "Every one without exception."
I said"I am one of your six figure clients, do I count?"
He just stared at me.The other 6 figure guy at that meeting said "I like low taxes but I sure am not quitting my business no matter what the the GOP president does."
His next client was out in the hall so we asked him same question.
He said hell no.
Taxes are at historical lows now but those trying to fool you are singing the same song. |

Your point? Who's saying otherwise? |

I've not seen one TR show take a call on that or one TV news show address it for at least six months now. |

keycocker is completely on target here, and isobars is again drifting on nonsense.
I read the Boskin opinion article. Just a opinion piece with tons of unsupported data skewed in the direction he supports. Nothing more or less, but it all comes down to the point of whether I buy the pitch. Frankly, I don't.
Do I know a lot about everything that he was commenting on? Hardly.
For me, it about how I feel about the position and the potential undercurrent existing behind the scene. I guess it's more about how the path smells to be. It's not about real smelling of course, but it illustrates my point. If the sense of things doesn't feel quite right, it usually isn't the path. |

Perhaps you meant impotence?

Coyote:
Keeping to the original post - I scanned the HC plan for "dhimmitude".
I could not find it! A friend tried a search program and came up zip!
Fact Check also tried!
Another f_g myth! |

I found this at factcheck.
It clearly debunks the nonsense offered in the OP and hysteria in certain subsequent posts. _________________ mo |

So whats the deal Bard? You pull these guys chain a lot but was that dim attitude thing really a fabrication? Listening to Talk?
Doesn't seem like your style.
Here is a quote
Those excepted are ..... Mennonite, Amish or Hutterite. Those that don’t specify their denomination are still explicitly Christian. Having gone through the list, we can say with certainty that no Muslim group, and indeed no non-Christian group, has ever qualified for an exemption under the statute used to define exempt religious groups in the health care law...."
Iso "facts" about being arrested if you don't buy insurance is a lie too according to fact check along with the lie about death panels.
I thought iso got his facts about health care from the doc itself like coboardhead. Seems like he does and Iso doesn't.
His posts are some of the best stuff here. I can see why iso insults him so much. |

I had forgotten how much I like www.factcheck.org
Obviously nonpartisan.
Iso really hates that site. All those checked facts condemning Dems and GOP for lying to us or twisting the truth TR style |
