It fluter its tail went under and I gybed, saw it again about 5 feet away, and I beelined back to Crissy, got of the water and went home. Nobody seemed to believe me......... |

Same thing happend to a windsurfer off TI about a month ago. And you are right, nobody believes it. We all thought he startled a sturgeon, since that's the only other fish that gets that big in the bay. |

Not to mention the whale that made it all the way up to Rio Vista. |

We've been seeing sharks all over down here. One GW, and a bunch of hammerhead. Funny enough, the typically great volume of seals we usually see are gone. SPOOOOKY... |

We all know GW's come towards the Cal coast in the late summer to Nov. months, then dissappear out into the deep blue until the following end of summer.
While there are sightings and bites in spring and winter, those few confused sharks just made a mistake, so forgive them.
And consider........ if you depended on seal meat to live, why wouldn't you follow the seals into whereever they are hanging out?
Would you, as a GWShark, avoid entering the Golden Gate just because some people think it's not wise to enter the bay?
Why do you think Alcatraz was built there? Didn't someone come up with cold water and GW's as a deterent to escaping? And wasn't that a few years ago? And why didn't you know that? |

OMG! That was a bloody shark attack!!!!
But note: Not a single sea lion that was windsurfing was attacked.
Remember that! |

Here's another video from a view on the Hornblower Cruise ship capturing the shark jumping out of the water prior to the blood pool...

Imagine a shark hitting your board as hard as he hit that seal.
Also, randomly, notice how the gulls see the splash and immediately fly over the scene of the attack.
Any leftovers? |
