|
|
Planning a health recovery celebration in June. The family would like a Caribbean island. I would like wind and waves. The only 2 Caribbean island wavesailing spots I've heard of with wavesailing potential in June are:
-Silver Sands, Barbados
-Cabarete, DR
Any others? |

Thanks Steve, I'm planning a "me time" trip to PSC in July since the family is not a fan of PSC.
The June trip has to be short (and accessible from Florida) and kid friendly, hence Barbados is at the top of the list. |

Puerto Rico can be pretty good in June, and like everywhere else then, the swells tend to stay on the smaller side while the windy season is winding down in the Caribbean.
Jobos, Crashboat, and the whole Aquadilla side tend to get accelerated winds in the afternoons, after a offshore period in the mornings.
My last trip there 4 months ago, I got to see some pretty awesome footage of Caballos (Horses in Isla Verde), and Inch's in Patillos, which compare to world class wavesailing on rocky reef breaks anyhere in the world, including CabeVerde. |
