Did anyone lose a sailboat?
There's an extra one washed up in the rocky cove at Swell City.
Maybe Bart and the CGWA will get salvage rights.

July 27 we were checking out the new water squatter moorage. At 9am a car pulls up and drops off Mr. Captain who then shuffles down to the boat. He stares at it for about 5 minutes as it's rocking and rolling, all tied up with a stern anchor. We left after he finally got his bicycle into the water from the deck. Didn't stay around to see which way he started peddling.

| Interesting, you know in Hawaii if a sailboat runs aground on the reef before the light of a new day it will be stripped of literally everything, engine, copper wires, literally everything.

That boat has a current 2017 registration sticker. It's missing the last letter of the registration ID. There should be another letter after the P. The 2017 sticker has a registration # on it that you can use to track down the owner. Also get the Hull ID # off the transom. If there was any property damage caused by the boat, the owner would be liable. Maybe he's waiting for the waters to rise enough to sail away. My buddy was sure it was getting a hole pounded in the bottom when we were making our observations??

| This boat belongs to a disabled vet and is where he lives. There is going to be high water on Thursday and we have a group together to help him get his boat back. The rudder is destroyed and I have purchased a used one in Florida that is on its way. There are currently no visible holes but if it doesn't get off the beach before the wind comes back it will be destroyed there. Leave the man in peace, bad luck happens to good people. As a fellow mariner there is a code to help anyone in distress and I plan to live up to that. Think good thoughts for this unlucky soul. He deserves a break. Thank you, Bart
