Here's a jibe of mine I posted for a discussion in another thread. 4.7 sail, 77 liter board, I weigh 160lbs. I've posted plenty of jibe videos. And I suspect you believe I can jibe.

Nice tack.
But that well powered, you jibe fully planing, never go below 17 mph, and actually SAIL, as opposed to slog.
I do see the need for tacking when underpowered barely planing and needing upwind distance. Rig bigger.

Thanks. I'm not arguing against jibing as I'm sure most people would agree that jibing is much more exciting, but a tack is a nice tool to have in the shed.
