I just meant if it's no longer in production; then it would be like a lot of stuff that's no longer made any more.

I meant regarding your quest for the best, latest and greatest. Cool The other guy was more of a tool collector than a craftsman.

With a modern stance and harness line length you want a bit more retention in the hook. I can see where certain kite hooks might actually be a good option, especially if your local area is very choppy.
I use a roller and XT seat on my raceboard but that is a different dynamic to a modern multi-fin wave board.

I would like to try a sliding hook but most harnesses are only setup for fixed now. It seems like it would be a better body position upwind.

Dakine is still pumping out roller bars in many styles. If Reactor (a trademarked name) is still making them, it's a well-kept secret. Either works fine, but there's no point in using them with a sliding bar setup or single-point lines. When Reactor stopped producing them decades ago, I bought a lifetime supply (soon after which, of course, they resumed production). Repair kits with all the moving parts are still readily available, and boxes of Reactor bars are available at Gorge swap meets for peanuts.

I have a Reactor bar on my T-7. Are the Reactors still in production or are another piece of windsurfing history? Does Dakine still produce a roller bar?
