gusty to today and nowhere near what the 3km chart
said it would be. Good enough to go on mid to upper 5's
but hard to handle the gusts.
Speed runs I would just look for the windiest spot. The chop tends
to be down the middle.
But it wasn't cold.
About 6 of us on the North Side.

Ctuna,

Where do you get those charts? Can you include a link? Also, I'm looking for water level info.

I'm hoping to get a couple of my "students" down there. One has her water starts, straps and harness down, and needs ride and jibe practice. The other is about to get his water starts and has waist deep beach starts down. He's 6'-1". So, I'm looking for a water level that allows them to ride for some distance, fall, and be able to touch bottom. What is the best water level for that?

I'm trying to do my part to bring some young blood back into the sport. They are in their mid-20's I remember San Luis helping me get my jibes and duck jibes nailed in the mid-80's. I taught my brother there way back when.

Medieros side (camping side) is better as I recall for learning as it blows on shore?

http://cdec.water.ca.gov/dynamicapp/QueryF?s=onf
water level above 220 is pretty good.
I cross correlate these to get confidence.
https://www.windfinder.com/forecast/san-luis-reservoir_route-52
You can't believe the direction or magnitude on the above one it's
the 152 sensor that been broken since last summer.
But the predictions are pretty good not as good as iwindsurf but
it's another confidence report .
Weather.com look at gustine and santa nella 10 day and hourly forecast.
iwindsurf new version complete report and what mike says on iwindsurf.
The iwindsurf Map with various filters.

use to use the poulton report for preasure gradients but
I think that is included in I windsurf somewhere.

Direction weather it be NW to SW is not onshore for the most part .(sideshore )
Bring the weed fins haven't needed them and it doesn't get nearly
as bad as it used to but you don't want to be without one.

Best conditions or heaviest conditions Fog all the way from coast after a series
of hot days . You must have your boards and sails dry for the Quagga mussel
inspection. 10 dollar per car entry for day use or get the Poppy pass.

On the above link
See the 7th entry down it should open on page 2

for pressure gradients

I was 100% right about the warm forecast on Wed. and 100% wrong about the windy forecast. It's looking better for today, though.

Weird thing was that the pressure gradients from the coast to the valley were up around 0.1 inch Hg all day, which should have it blowing 5.0-6.0. Have to get Carey to explain what's going on there...

And +1 on never showing up to the lake with a wet board. If my board is at all wet, I'll pull it out of the bag and either strap it to the roof rack for the drive over- or I'll set up my board so the heater vents are blowing on the straps and pads and crank up the heat and fan for the drive.

about 23 last night. Better chart tomorrow I think I will wait.

doable most of the time. May do something tommrow it looks like
conflicting reports.
added 5/15 is the next comment
Report from the Lake yesterday said 4.7 all day. Might varry cause to
the mid 5's is my guess.(Sunday that is )
