they waved me through today .
but the wind was kind of teasing all afternoon.
Never really enough for anything but a couple spurts half
way across the lake . Bakefest basically.
Swing shift came in at around 5 pm consisting of Pete schiebel
and his girlfriend both wing dinging successfully and two windsurfers from Santa . It's weedy now I don't see how they can do the wing thing.

put up the 5.7 had to hunt for even planing winds from 2 to 4 then it kicked
in and on the edge of OPed after that. Swing shift came in at about 4:30 and
got it right.
Weeds pretty heavy in spots but still not on the surface.
It's official Quagga Mussel checks to end on July 1st for personnel non
motored watercraft.

Looks good for today 6/30/2021
and possibly tomorrow.
update for today 4.2 for me and Larry on a 3.7 for as long as we could take
it . 29 gusting to 39 . Water Level High but you need a Weed Fin now
if you don't want to spin out. Looking for something similar tomorrow.
No Board checks starting tomorrow.

see anybody on the South Side.

July 13th 2021 4.2 all afternoon.
Everybody else on 4.2 or smaller.
Issac from Monetary and all the rest from Santa Cruz.
Very Lively . It was relatively even with basicly no holes
except for a brief drop around 4:30
Water Level super High Mud around tree and the path was
a canal. No observable weeds on the surface but they are
just under the surface in some spots and dampening the chop
in those spots.
With heavy fog this may repeat for a few days.

It was blowing pretty hard when leading me to estimate
a 4.2 or 4.7 rigged a 4.7 but by the time I had rigged it really
dropped. Put up a 5.7 but even that was not enough most of
the time. There is a full weed patch down the center now.

Went to The Lake a few days ago. Sort of a kick sailing up that channel that used to be the path that Charles mentions. Could sail up it almost to the van. Man, talk about an easy launch and return.
Not sure what the Park Department is doing to treat the weeds unless it is Miracle Gro....

Went 8/31/2021
Heavy patch up the center and along the treeline on the south side.
Went on the basis of the 3pm and blended chart yesterday .
Never could really get going on a 5.7 .
Dennis showed up and was doing good on a 7.0 and a big
board lost my patience and was feeling kind of baked at
5 pm when it came up.
Doesn't look like the weed spraying went on at the right time this year.
Don't know if it's going to be done again.

2021-07-31 O'Neill Forebay
Sailed there as Charles says. My Freeride Naish Titan worked well in the conditions. It was paired with an Ezzy Cheetah 7.0.
Lake reminded me of the Lake George in Australia one can see in videos where windsurfers are whipping across glassy water in strong winds. The weeds just below the surface keeping the top glass. Unfortunately, the O'Neill Forebay gets a lot of weed matter on top of the surface as well.
I tried to circumnavigate the first large weed patch Charles mentions. Couldn't. The weeds went right up to the land on west side of the highway bridge. Had to cut through somewhere. The GPS track of the attempt is shown below:
