My 2005 Ezzy Infinity 6.6 still goes strong but I'm inclined to replace it with a new Ezzy. Is it worth switch to its descendant - 2021 Ezzly Lion 6.5 ?

Thanks!

Andrei

Same mast?
Need budget for something else?
Getting a good deal?
Rest of gear ok?

A nice mast would be a nice upgrade! Surely better than a different sail.
How about fins?

benwindy switched over to Ezzy a number of years ago
he says you can ride them until there is no more room for tape
in other words - why change ?? and ride them until they die !!

I replace my Ezzy sails every year for no reason at all.
Mostly the guys at the lake buy them so I windsurf with the sails I sold Years ago. The older sail pretty much work as good as my new ones. Maybe after 5 years I might have a edge. New materials and a bit of weight loss are always nice. So if you have the cash and you just want one, go for it. Or "ride them till they die" I think having the proper mast for your sails is the best way to go..

Take his advice and don't fight it. It's money well spent.

Ha ha........
This summer, I chose to use my 1995 Gaastra CS with cc mast against 3 of the fast slalom sailors here in Berkeley.
And a 2003 Excocet Speed Slider.
Makes no diff, same relative speed as when I use '19 Retro and '18 Speedster.
