First, to coachg: your comments reflect a kind man, wanting to give the benefit of the doubt to Isobars. Yes, it is possible he is not aware he is lying and he is delusional. That would fit with prior posts by him on lying. If that is the case, he should be careful to fact check prior to posting.

Second, to techno900, Isobars wrote “repeated pleas to send in 20,000 national guardsmen” This is not the same as Trump’s claim that he told Chris Miller to have 10,000 to call in 10,000 guardsmen. In addition, Trump is a proven liar. It is hard to believe anything he says. In addition, his actions during the riot were to NOT call in the Guard and to cheer the rioters on and say he loves them.

Third, back to Isobars. Clearly the Capitol police were overwhelmed. To blame this on Pelosi is simply deflection. The riot was caused by a pro-Trump mob spurred on by Trump and his lies of a stolen election. If there were no mob, there would have been no need for the police. If I go into a store with poor security and shoplift, the theft is my fault, not the fault of the lack of security. Also, these sorts of responsibilities are often put on politician’s job description but the politician is just a figurehead.

By Isobar’s logic, any BLM event that led to property damage or injuries should be blamed on whoever is in charge of the local police department.

This is called confirmation bias. Of course, Isobars quotes Tucker more than anyone, so an unreliable source is not a surprise.

Look on the far right column, that's where you will find newsmax.

Well at least there was some truth to the article:

• On Jan. 3, Capitol Police released an updated security assessment regarding the upcoming rally, which indicated a chance of armed protesters. "Due to the tense political environment following the 2020 election, the threat of disruptive actions or violence cannot be ruled out," it stated. "Supporters of the current president see Jan. 6, 2021 as the last opportunity to overturn the results of the presidential election. This sense of desperation and disappointment may lead to more of an incentive to become violent."

We had a recent event at the California State Fair that reminded me of Iso. Apparently an 11-year-old kid was arrested. He was tackled & handcuffed at the state fair on Kids Day. The parent was very upset, felt it was excessive force & said she planned on suing the officers. Further investigation found that the kid had climbed over the fence and was almost hit by a rollercoaster while running around unsupervised putting himself & the participants on the rollercoaster at risk. If the parent has been supervising their child the incident would have never happened; bottom line.

Same with Jan 2. Who called for the rally based on a lie that the election was stollen? Who attempted to overturn a legal election? Arguing about how the Trumpers were treated or what actions Trump did after the shit hit the fan is a moot point. All those numb nuts were there under false pretense initiated by Trump and fueled by the right-wing media. If you sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind. Stop crying about it.

The founding fathers were certainly not perfect--slaves were a fraction for representation purposes, no direct votes for offices, no suffrage for women. But they understood the difference between liberty and license. That distinction is now lost on a generation of "conservatives" who went to schools without civics classes--or slept through the classes.

Isobars claimed that Trump made "repeated pleas to send in 20,000 national guardsmen."

The Newsmax article Isobars links to still does not support that Trump made repeated pleas to send in 20,000 guardsmen. At best, if the Newmax article is true, Trump made one comment that "You're going to need 10,000 people."

No evidence for repeated pleas. No evidence for Trump wanting 20,000 guardsmen. No truth to Isobars original post.

Trump’s Attorney Wants To Walk Away From ‘Electric Avenue’ Lawsuit

In September 2020, Grant sued Trump and his campaign, alleging a tweet from the then-president that included a video of the 1983 hit “Electric Avenue” allowed him to benefit politically and financially from Grant’s work. Within weeks, Kenneth Caruso of Mukasey Frenchman LLP informed the Southern District of New York that he would be representing Trump and the campaign.

Now, with the case in discovery, Caruso wants out. He filed a motion in the Southern District of New York this week asking to be relieved as counsel. In an accompanying declaration that explained the request, Caruso wrote that his firm’s services are no longer needed and that it is not seeking a lien against Trump.

His work on the case seemed to have slowed down recently. The Make America Great Again PAC, which arose out of Trump’s presidential campaign, paid Caruso’s law firm $103,000 since September 2020, just $8,200 of which came in 2022, according to the most-recent campaign finance records. No other political committees have reported paying the firm.

Darren Saunders of Peroff Saunders P.C., who joined Trump’s defense team a couple months after the suit was filed, will continue to represent him.

Caruso and spokespeople for the Trump campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment. Caruso’s filing was first reported by Reuters.

If the motion is granted, Caruso would be at least the second attorney to dump a Trump as a client in the past year. Last September, a lawyer quit who was representing Eric Trump in the New York Attorney General’s investigation into potential fraud at the Trump Organization.

Imagine that, Trump cheated another person—who was foolish enough to go to work for such a scumbag.
