I was out trying to Windfoil on May 27th when the level was 221. Found shoals that I previously did not know were there. Had to play around in just the middle of the lake. When quitting, I waded and swam almost half the lakes width to insure not hitting my foil. 750 mast. Launched from the NW side. 223 feet of water level would have given me a much broader area to play in.

Kind of a hang be overworked day.

Weeds are starting to show near the shore I made it
without a weed fin and not problems today don't expect that
to last long.

I was on the Medeiros side, camping since Friday. Only one lull on Saturday. I was on 4.2 as well with 85 liter board. No weeds to speak of yet but huge, rolling swells in the main channel today. What a blast.

I have never seen anybody on the upper lake ( doing wind powered stuff)
although some of the people I know say they have
done it a few times.

Last few years they have had warnings on the upper lake about
blue green algae . It can be bad if dogs drink the water there.
Maybe the water level has destroyed it.
Also I have not even seen boats up there.

I did not foil. On my way out there was a winger sailing in the channel near Hwy 33.

Got there are around 1 pm traffic really bad do to construction just past
Casa de fruita basically took 20 minutes to go a mile then traffic kinda cleared up.
Wind dropped around 1:30 and did not really come back up till around 5 pm.
You defiantly need a weed fin now although the weeds are really only showing
along the shore. Water Level was lower than it had been in awhile today .
5.7 not planning till later in the day.

152 cal trans sensor for San Luis on 152
I may have finally gotten through to Cal Trans
which is the owner of the 152 sensor.
The Windy app identified it as Sensor CF031 and I was
able to get through to somebody despite the phone tree
layering that stops you . And they actually called me back.
I noticed they have listed the Sensor as down now so
I have some hopes it can be fixed.
Since a big wind event about 3 Summers ago it has been
registering the wind direction off by as much as 180 degrees
and the magnitude of the wind measured has been 4 to as much as 10
times as high as the surrounding sensors.

It was an important backup for the iwindsurf sensor and nobody needed
to look at the false data it was reporting .
