hi ho hi ho it's off to the coast I go.

Tuba. Low tide at 4 pm, south doesn't work on that. Hope to see a few more up North.

I don't know, Sherman is 27 right now and it's an easier drive Smile I guess a coin toss is in order (since I'm about equal distance from both).....

Pretty humbling experience getting blown off the water on a 3.7/72ltr setup when Kevinkan is looping in front of me. Crazy 40-50 at Tomales today, WOW.

Tried coast between 2 and 3 PM. Tom was a OK on a 3.7 for 1.5 hours before. I was not ok on a 3.3/70l, even getting to the water edge with gear was a challenge. Gave up after 30 min of tail-walking and plowing through whitewater (somehow with so much power you do not need to plane to go through stuff).

There was a short aborted kitesurf attemp. Hats off for even trying, the tiny kite would not even park overhead, too much drag...

EPIC day at Crissy, 4.0 85 liter (195lbs). So much fun, lots of smiles in the parking lot. Beer tastes so good after a day of sailing like today. Cheers.

Looks like I made the right call going to Sherman. Unfortunately when the wind was "manageable" it was still flooding. But it seems the flood ended and the wind started. I was getting blown off the water on a 4.2/85l combo when the wind picked up to 29mph (Iwindsurf gauge). Others were getting down to 3.5 and 70l combos and were still out there.

But I can't imagine how cold it must have been at Tomales, I was cold at Sherman!

It was rather a nice day...one of the better ones in some time...Massive
wind and a good swell sneaking in through the Golden Gate combined with
a sizeable ebb..

Will post a bundle at www.h2oshots.com tommorow...
