I got the 2020 version with size 13 (Medium) front wing which was the largest they were offering at the time. Their 2021 version now has three larger sizes going up to 1850 sq.cm. Has anybody tried them yet? Just curious how much this might lower the threshold for foiling. Thanks. |

For heavyweights, it should add maybe 2 mph at the 11 knot threshold from 13.
For most lightweights, little is gained over the 1050 S, but much is lost in control when the wind starts to top 16 knots.
Seems we still need gusts of 13 to get up on foil and build speed. Once top speed is achieved, glide and pumping can keep us up down in the 8+ knot range. |
