I work for GoPro (http://www.goprocamera.com), a leading activity image capture company. We produce a line of wearable and gear-mountable cameras and accessories. As it relates to your hobby, we make small video cameras that can mount on your board.
The reason for my post: We are looking for three Customer Service Representatives, and I could use some help from the windsurfing community. This would be an excellent position for a recent college graduate. For me, personality fit is more important than an actual skill set, so I'm placing an emphasis on finding windsurfers, surfers, snowboarders, motorists, outdoor enthusiasts and active thrill seekers looking to ease there way into the corporate world. Instead of posting on Monster/Dice/CareerBuilder/Hotjobs, I wanted to be creative--I decided to post something here.
Beyond personality fit, the ideal candidate will be technologically savvy. Having hands on experience with various photography/videography equipment would be *highly* desirable. Having excellent writing skills is a huge plus. Unlike most Customer Support positions, our needs are more email intensive.
Located minutes away from Mavericks in Half Moon Bay, California, GoPro enjoys a business-casual work place. GoPro's business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00AM to 6:00PM, and we offer full-time employees medical, dental, 401(K), holiday and vacation pay.
