I hate to say it, but I'm out of touch with the New England scene, so I'm reaching out to you guys and hoping you can help - I'm looking for the most enthusiastic, most-talented sailor under the age of 18 from New England.
Any suggestions? They can be into racing, freestyle, waves, whatever - but I'm looking for a kid who has progressed quickly, beyond the level of the average sailor in the area.
You can e-mail me names and hopefully contact info at editor@windsurfingmag.com
Thanks! _________________ __________________________________________

The only one one seems to embrace us old f-arts is Graham F. |

I'm with Ron, it's Graham. Always there, always smiling, always trying things. Saw him do some really nice jumps in West Dennis on a 3.5 two days ago. He's in a totally different league now compared to 15 months ago, when I saw him sailing the first time.
Quick learning seems to be in the family, though - his dad has gone from beginner to fearless speedster in 30+ mph winds in just a few months. |

Yeah a lotta old dudes, but they go for it! Logo high and 5.0... side on shite and all! Throw in cold water, drysuits, hoods and gloves and it takes some bollocks to go out there. Under 18 they're wavesailing on their playstations. Wii sailing! |

My vote would be for Kaylen Ballantyne. He comes from the right blood line, definitely has the skills, and has filled your old shoes as an instructor ! Plus a very nice kid to boot. |

Graham and Kaylen are both awesome sailors!!
You might also consider Rasmus Sayre, who defended his U15 title and came in second place overall in the 2010 Techno 293 National Championships. Ras also placed second in U15 at the North American Championships. |
