Ahh Christians...........so easy to bash.

You got that right.

I take that back. My dad was a different kind of Christian. You know, the kind that follows the teachings of Jesus. All that peace, love and understanding stuff. And empathy...and the golden rule etc.

My family are also people of faith. We do not hate any other faith even if some of their members sin against us, as we sin against one another.
We are all the same in the eyes of the Lord in my world.

With respect, it appears that you are the one who has not read the posts. Many on this Forum are all too ready to trot out examples of acts by people who call themselves Christians, but clearly are not.

Absolutely right about that. Their point is always the same:Those who murder in the name of Islam or Jesus are not Muslims or Christians.
Some on the right only apply one half of this truth.
In my last post I touched on the method used to assign religions to criminals.
Easy to do, then condemn a religion of peace.
A lQuada does it as well with some dreadful Bible quotes, murder and rape by US soldiers in Iraq, all mixed with ethnic slurs and lies- as is usual with scum on this planet.
When "good Christians" do the same I fear for my country and countrymen.

The point, mrgybe, is that the extremists of evangelical Christianity and Muslims, are dangerous and mis-represent the tenets of their faiths. The extremist Muslims are almost entirely in other countries, and are mad because we are occupying that country and killing civilians. The extremist Christians are in this country and well represented in the TEA Party, which you have supported. Hatred of Muslims is well represented in the pulpits of right wing, evangelical churches, and raised here in abhorrent terms by stevenbard. I do believe you dissemble too much.

It's a relief to know find out that extremist Muslims are almost entirely in countries that are mad with us because we are occupying them and killing their civilians. The news reports I have been reading obviously have been giving the false impression that Muslim extremists are a threat in the UK, France, Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Kenya, Egypt, Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria, Pakistan, Indonesia........well the list goes on. These spurious reports indicated that large numbers had been killed by Muslim extremists in these countries. Clearly journalistic malfeasance.

Those who attempt to equate the actions of "Christian" extremists with those of "Muslim" extremists, do so so safe in the knowledge that there will be no retribution from the "Christians". That in itself speaks volumes.

Put pictures of members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party celebrating Christmas was no more than a publicity stunt to get the "real Christians" on board. How many of you Liberals have Christmas trees, but are really atheists? Not very unusual. Go ahead, tell me you've never had a Christmas tree or givern Christmas presents.

Meanwhile, the radical islamists are rioting by the millions accross the world. What are the radical Christians doing? Praying? I guess a few of them with buck teeth and low IQ's are collecting guns.....

As a young Catholic, growing up in South Dakota, I read "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee". Many of you probably know this book; which describes the treatment by our "Christian" nation of the North American Natives. I was left with the deep impression that one should never use his religion to diminish the value of another human life.

Alas, religion has been used as an excuse to hate, kill and conquer for centuries and continues today. It is not the fault of the religion, it is the fault of some of the practitioners.

How does Shariah law fit that mold?
How does Chapter 9 (IIRC) of the Koran fit that mold?

>100 countries as of several years ago. But we're safe now, as Candidate Clinton vowed to go after then everywhere they could be found.
