Nothing to see here, no global warming going on, and if it is, it has nothing to do with pig oil profits. Right.

Hottest day for, like, about 120 years, when the Met Office like, started compiling reliable countrywide records. That's like, for EVER!

No surprise that you ignore the substance of my post. Keep enjoying that Ecuadorian and Saudi gasoline while patting yourself on the back.

I'm not an ideologue. I didn't ignore it.
But lets look at Heathrow today at 104.4 ...previous high 101.7. That's a YUGE jump. I know this is the AR 15 thread but the heat numbers are insane.

Speaking of deliberate deception, the first first/preferred definition upon Googling Merriam Webster Dictionary's definition of lying is: “to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive.” This definition is very similar to definitions of lying found in other dictionaries and well-regarded sources, so it's accepted as the common definition.

Now who's lying? You kids need to stop squabbling back there, or we're gonna turn around and go home.

This is a discussion bulletin board, not a court of law or even "just" a backroom Supreme Court bull session. You guys can debate semantics and decimal points all you want, but it's pathetic that you're so eager to risk your family's and our country's health over them.

I agree, it is hot. However, if you believe that O&G is the culprit, the policy of the people for whom you voted.......outsourcing O&G production to unreliable, out of sight countries.....will make the situation worse, possibly much worse as the EU is now finding.

BY VICTOR JACK AND KARL MATHIESEN
July 18, 2022 6:15 pm...
Europe is in the grips of a fierce heat wave, with temperatures this week set to break new records — possibly leading to thousands of excess deaths.

The heat expected to hit Western Europe on Monday and Tuesday follows days of intense weather on the Iberian Peninsula, where hundreds have already died as a result of blistering heat that experts say was made worse by climate change.

The U.K. Met Office issued its first-ever Red Warning for extreme heat in England — indicating a “danger to life” — with temperatures possibly rising to 43C on Tuesday.

....

Is this climate change?
Yes. The build up of CO2 from burning fossil fuels has made heat waves more intense and more frequent across the globe, including in Europe.

"The chances of seeing 40C days in the U.K. could be as much as 10 times more likely in the current climate than under a natural climate unaffected by human influence,"
said Nikos Christidis, a climate attribution scientist at the U.K. Met Office.

Climate change drives heat waves in two ways, Zachariah said. One is simply by trapping more heat in the global system. “A warmer atmosphere means more heat extremes,” she said.

The second impact is “dynamic” — meaning changing weather patterns, which can bring heat and rain to regions that don’t normally experience them. In Europe's case, this year a slow-moving high-pressure area has brought scorching air up from North Africa.

These kinds of heat waves will become more frequent in the decades ahead, even if governments follow through on their pledges to cut emissions — which is far from a given.

"Even with current pledges on emissions reductions, such extremes could be taking place every 15 years in the climate of 2100,” said Christidis.

Don't believe shills for big carbon. If they are not actively lying, they are spinning.

We produce 11m/bd, it could go to 13-14(maybe), we consume 20m/bd. We produce a ton of Nat Gas, no issues there, and not comparable to the EU. The US is way way way better off than Germany or France.

What a joke. “Deliberate deception?” Iso thinks he can choose what definition of a word he can use. Often words have more than one “common definition.” He gave the first definition they list. I gave the second. Both are valid, and he fits the second one.

And if he’s really concerned about out country’s health, he should look at his party and the people in it who tried to end over 200 years of the smooth transition of leadership and ignore what was proven to be a fair election. Instead, huge numbers of Republicans, including many in elected office, continue to believe the “big lie.” This “big lie” far exceeds any of Iso’s lies, and it remains a major risk to our country.

I'm not so sure of that SAS. Iso is trying to convince everyone that Jan 6 was just a peaceful visitation by a bunch of grandmas. Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes That is pretty close to his believing the election was stolen.
