Awesome. From the article, from David Simon, one of the most brilliant writers in America:

Quote:
“I woke up early, still laughing at Rudy Giuliani spewing bullshit from an industrial lot between a crematorium and dildo shop, having booked a press conference into the Four Seasons … wait for it … Total Landscaping,” David Simon, creator of The Wire, wrote on Sunday.

“The Trumpist incompetence that delivers this coda. Magical.”

Trump's former chief of staff on election fraud claims: 'Put up or shut up on the evidence'

Quote:
A former top adviser to President Donald Trump said time is running out to provide evidence to support claims of election fraud.

On Saturday, the Associated Press and other media outlets said former Vice President Joe Biden had won enough electoral college votes to be the next president. Lawyers representing Trump’s re-election campaign have fired off a number of legal challenges to the results, none of which have resulted in votes being thrown out.

“Allegations are not enough, and everybody knows this,” said Mick Mulvaney, former acting White House chief of staff and director of the Office of Management and Budget, in an interview with Yahoo Finance Live. Lawyers “have to put up or shut up on the evidence for the lawsuits. You can’t go out on TV and say, ‘they’re stealing the election,’ and not back that up with facts.”

Suits have been filed in five states alleging various ballot and voting irregularities; several cases have been thrown out. On Monday, the Trump campaign filed suits to try to stop election officials from certifying results in Michigan and Pennsylvania, claiming fraud.

According to the latest ballot count, Biden was ahead by 47,525 votes in Pennsylvania and by 146,123 in Michigan, with 99% tallied in both states.

“There are small instances of voter fraud in elections,” said Mulvaney. “It’s in the single digits sometimes, but it doesn’t move elections typically to 30,000 or 40,000 people. The difficulty is that so many people voted by mail, and it’s hard to grasp how many votes are still out there remaining to be counted.”

In March, Trump replaced Mulvaney with Mark Meadows as White House chief of staff. Mulvaney, who recently participated in the Greenwich Economic Forum, is currently serving as the United States Special Envoy to Northern Ireland, and co-founded a hedge fund, Exegis Capital.

Project Veritas could face legal liability for postal worker's ballot fraud allegations, experts say

Hopkins also expressed remorse for how the saga had affected his supervisor, who has received death threats as a result of the amplification of the allegations.

"That's f**ked," Hopkins said, according to the audio.

To be clear, there is no evidence of significant or widespread voter fraud in the presidential election, which was clearly won by President-elect Joe Biden. President Trump's campaign has filed at least a dozen lawsuits since Election Day. Most have been dropped or dismissed, and none is remotely likely to change the result in any individual state, let alone the Electoral College count.

Recounts in statewide elections rarely shift more than a few hundred votes, and almost never overturn established results. Biden defeated Trump in Pennsylvania by more than 60,000 votes, according to the official count as of Friday. Hopkins' allegation was about one single ballot.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson apologized on Friday after a Georgia news station let him know that he had falsely claimed that a dead man voted illegally in the state.
The voter in question, Agnes Blalock, is the wife of the late James Blalock Jr., and her registered voter name is "Mrs. James Blalock, Jr."
"He's not voting," she told the Atlanta-based news station 11 Alive. "He didn't vote. It was me."
Carlson issued an apology on-air, saying that "we're always going to correct when we're wrong, and we were."

Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Friday apologized on-air after a Georgia news station informed him that he had falsely alleged that a dead man voted illegally in the state during the November election.

During a Thursday segment of "Tucker Carlson Tonight," Carlson said that a ballot had been cast for James Blalock of Covington, a World War II veteran who passed away in 2006. In reality, the ballot was cast by his widow, who is registered to vote under the name "Mrs. James R. Blalock, Jr."

President Donald Trump's campaign, which has issued a litany of lawsuits in a range of swing states to back up debunked claims of voter fraud, inaccurately released Blalock's name as evidence of a dead individual who cast a ballot, which would point to voter fraud.

"No one quite embodies that story like James Blalock of Covington, Georgia. Mr. Blalock was a mailman for 33 years, until he passed away in 2006," Carlson said on Thursday

Republican Fraud. Impeach the SOB.

Quote:
Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger said Monday that Republican leaders such as Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) have been putting pressure on him to exclude legal ballots in order for President Trump to be declared the winner and earn the state's 16 electoral votes.

In an interview with The Washington Post, Raffensperger said Graham asked him on Friday if he had the authority to toss out ballots in counties with high rates of nonmatching signatures. Graham also questioned if poll workers had accepted ballots with nonmatching signatures due to political bias, according to Raffensperger.

Graham denied he pressured Raffensperger to find ways to toss out legal votes, saying that he was trying to figure out how votes were verified and that he thought Georgia "has some protections that maybe other states don't have."
