Hi All,
I have an old Streamlined boom that need a new clip to adjust the tailpiece extension. Streamlined will sell me a 2 pin but mine is a single pin. Are they compatible? And if so could I just use a different manufacturer that is more readily available here in the states? Any help is appreciated.

Sailworks carrys parts and the Booms for streamined .
For awhile there was no way to get these reliably
in the US .
The replacement boom wraps are too short though or were.

I would talk to sailworks anyway.
Drill another hole maybe .
I didn't think they ever made a single pin system.
Maybe talk to Kevin Kahn at Sunset Sail boards or Boardsports.

I would think you could research various dimensions of your boom to determine whether a substitute would work. What is tube diameter? Can be made bigger if necessary. Is the opening in the tube big enough to fit 2 pins 2cm apart lengthwise? If not, might be tough luck, I see that Chinook 1-pin collars are discontinued and not available (I liked that system, metal pins better than the plastic they use now). For all brands its pretty much shoving the collar onto the end of the tube, friction fit or a dab of glue.
