I want to foil. I love the idea of cruising around in even lighter winds and not even feeling the chop of the water. However, the price of these board discourages pretty much everyone from trying them.

If someone could come out with one that is priced reasonably, the idea of foiling might actually take off.

pretty cool...

as far as cost...this is really a prototpye kind of board. If there is enough (whatever that is ) interest...they could make a more conventional construction, albeit alittle heavier...throw in some chinsese kids to make them...and you got a fairly reasonable priced board/foil....

Foiling a sailboard is definitely doable. The foils are not inexpensive but if you want to foil, some of the best sailboard foils are manufactured locally. It's not necessary to have a specialized board though it needs to have a Tuttle box. Also wide with a lot of rear deck area makes things easier.
